The starting line up saw David De Gea back in goal with Paul Pogba playing the midfield role along with Scott McTominay. Mason Greenwood also got the nod to start up front in the number 9 role. The first half was very slow paced and almost boring football with the exception of the thirty first minute when Victor Lidelof played a long pass from defence into Marcus Rashford who took the ball down in his stride and stuck it in the back of the Granada net to put Man United in the lead. The first half finished one nil to Man United.
The second half saw the first substitution of the match with Luke Shaw being replaced by Alex Telles. In the sixty sixth minute Edinson Cavani was brought on to replace Marcus Rashford and the seventy forth minute Paul Pogba was replaced by Nemanja Matic. The final Man United substitution of the match was in the eighty fifth minute when Donny Van de Beek replaced Mason Greenwood. The second half played out similar to the first until the eighty ninth minute when we saw Bruno Fernandes go down in the Granada Box and after going to VAR, the referee award a penalty. Bruno himself stood up and converted yet again to make it two nil to Man United on the night.
Although a good result with two away goals in what looks like as easy run to the next round of the Europa League even if it was not a good performance. Tonight I would given my man of the match to Victor Lindelof.
