Talk Man United is back. The site went quiet in the summer of 2023. As of November 2026 it is online again, with the archive restored and new United writing on the way every week.
Why we came back
Talk Man United started as a place made for fans, by the fans: transfer talk, match chat, academy watching and a lot of club history. When the site went offline, that writing went with it. Pieces like The Fonz of Old Trafford, Man Utd’s Summer of Love, 1967 and the History series deserved to be read again, so we brought them back. The site is now looked after by a new team. The spirit stays the same.
What has changed
- The archive is back. The history pieces, player profiles and longer reads from 2021 to 2023 are online again at their original addresses, under their original bylines and dates. We have not rewritten them.
- New articles every week. Match previews and reviews, transfer analysis, academy news and more from the club’s history. See the latest news.
- A new shop. It now links to the club’s official store instead of selling our own items (more below).
- A cleaner site. We removed the parts that no longer worked: the old donation buttons, a live score widget whose provider had ended, and contact forms that no longer sent anything. You can reach us at [email protected].
The new shop: official products only
The old shop sold a beanie, a T-shirt and a mug with our own designs. We have retired them. Our Shop now points you to official products sold by the club’s own online store:
- the 26/27 home and away jerseys,
- the 1994-96 retro home shirt,
- the Club Colours T-shirt,
- a red large-base mug,
- the official range of beanies and headwear.
When you click through, you buy straight from the official store, which shows the real photos, prices, sizes and stock. We do not handle orders or payments.
Being a fan site that respects the club’s rights
Loving a club does not give anyone the right to sell its badge. The name “Manchester United”, the crest and the club’s other marks belong to the club. Courts have backed that: in the Arsenal v Reed case, putting a club’s marks on merchandise without a licence was ruled an infringement, even when the seller called the goods “unofficial”. So these are our rules:
- We never put the club crest or club trademarks on anything we make or sell.
- We use the club’s name only to say what we are writing about.
- Merchandise comes only from the official store. Some of those links are, or will be, affiliate links. If you buy, we may earn a small commission and you pay the same price. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
- The pictures in our shop are our own illustrations. The images on our articles are our own graphics, images we have the right to use, or credited to their owner. If something of yours is here without credit, email us and we will fix it quickly.
- We are not connected to Manchester United Football Club. We are fans writing about it.
